Who are we

The WW-P Education Foundation Youth Committee is an organization of middle school and high school students that was founded in 2011. We enhance the leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills of students by providing them with appropriate opportunities while supporting the mission of the West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation.

What We Do

Each year, we put on the major fundraising event for WWPEF, WW-P’s Got Talent! We have raised over $60,000 in support of the foundation’s programs. The students of the Youth Committee, under the supervision of parent mentors, handle all aspects of the talent show, including fundraising, show production, auditions, and advertising. This year we are looking to expand our activities on behalf of WWPEF.

How to Join

We are always looking for new volunteers! Get involved with a diverse group of students that range in ages, schools, and interests. You will gain experience organizing and running large scale fundraising events and working in a friendly, fun and highly effective team. You will also get credit for volunteer hours.

The committee usually meets once a month, with weekly meetings in the months leading towards an event. There is a lot of responsibility involved with becoming a member of the Youth Committee, but the experience you gain will benefit you for life.

Youth Committee ‘21-‘22

Presidents:

Rithvik Sriram
I am currently a senior at High School North and have been a member of the West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation Youth Committee for seven years since I was in middle school. Throughout the years, I have gained a lot of experience through organizing numerous events and fundraisers. During the COVID-19, I learnt even more as we came up with new ways to help our community! Outside of the Youth Committee, I am also involved in multiple other activities like fencing, playing the French Horn, and playing basketball in my free time. I am very excited to be a part of a great executive board and am looking forward to all the events we will be hosting!

Soham Mitra
I am currently a senior at High School South and have been serving in the WW-P Education Foundation Youth Committee for over 3 years. I have spent my time with the committee, organizing various events, fundraisers and activities centered around providing the best educational value for students. While not working at the committee, I enjoy podcasting, hiking, spending time with my family and volunteering as a junior firefighter. I am privileged to serve as a Co-President of the Youth Committee for 2021-2022 and hope to continue my efforts in this larger role.
